Who is the Strongest in Overlord?

Overlord is no stranger to some of the most powerful characters in anime. One of which is the Supreme Ruler also referred to as the Overlord of Death, Ainz Ooal Gown. Despite being the highest of the supreme beings, who is the strongest in Overlord? Is Ainz Ooal Gown sitting at the top of the echelon?

Overlord Season 4 will finally premiere as part of the summer 2022 anime season. Ainz is ready to fight new threats to his beloved tomb of Nazarick as new adventures begin. Will someone more powerful arrive to confront Ainz in battle?

Who is the Strongest in Overlord?

Ainz Ooal Gown is the strongest character in the Overlord anime. When he has all of his items, he will be a force to be reckoned with.

However, the light novel claims that Rubedo, Albedo's younger sister, is the strongest entity in Nazarick, making her the most powerful in Overlord.

Ainz Ooal Gown's power is primarily based on his ability to cast magic. His physical prowess, on the other hand, should not be underestimated.

Being referred to as Overlord's strongest magic caster is no joke. He can not only cast 718 magical spells, but he can also learn new spells to add to his arsenal.

When faced with close-ranged fighters, his PvP prowess falls short. However, through strategy and experience, he usually outwits his opponents. To compensate for his flaws, he comes over-prepared and always thinks two steps ahead of the game.

He not only studies his opponent, but he also employs a number of world-class items to help him win the fight.

Ainz is known to have a slim chance of defeating Shalltear in his fight. Nonetheless, he pulls it off with strategic planning and meticulousness. Despite being overwhelmed by Shalltear's attacks, Ainz devises a plan to weaken and lure Shalltear to her untimely demise.

Shalltear Bloodfallen, on the other hand, is regarded as Overlord's most powerful floor guardian. Her build is essentially an antidote to Ainz Ooal Gown's abilities. Not to mention her terrifying and uncontrollable blood frenzy, which has the potential to consume her will and drive her insane.

Each guardian in the Great Tomb of Nazarick possesses unique abilities. Each Supreme Being creates them differently based on their preferences. Shalltear is mentally unstable, whereas Demiurge is extremely intelligent.

The twin dark elves, Aura and Mare, on the other hand, have their own quirks. Aura uses creatures and beasts to do the dirty work, whereas Mare specializes in fieldwork.

Meanwhile, Cocytus and Sebas are among the most powerful warriors in Nazarick's tomb. While Cocytus is virtually impregnable, he can also wield 21 different weapons at once, maximizing his icy elemental power.

Sebas, on the other hand, is a melee fighter who can instantly kill anyone. His true form, a Dragonoid, is a far more powerful version of himself, capable of overwhelming other floor guardians.

Albedo operates in a unique manner. She specializes in protecting Ainz, transforming herself into her tank in the process.

She is well versed in defensive spells, which complement her impregnable armor. Her armor, the Hermes Trismegistus, can absorb damage from opponents rather than take it herself.

Touch Me, Ulbert Alain Odle is considered the strongest player in YGGDRASIL. Even Ainz Ooal Gown acknowledges this fact. Regardless, after quitting the game and moving on with their lives, both Touch Me and Ulbert are basically gone in Overlord.

Moving on, Rubedo is Nazarick's most powerful entity. She is Albedo's younger sister. Apart from the fact that she was created as a mechanical being by Tabula Smaragdina, little is known about her.

Regardless, Ainz and the others believe Rubedo is the most dangerous threat to Nazarick. According to Albedo, Rubedo is very loyal to Ainz and will not betray him for selfish reasons.
