Who Is Suko in Godzilla x Kong?
In the trailer, we first see Suko approaching King Kong with a foggy foreground. As Kong prepares to fight against the monster, Suko comes closer and gets smaller.
When the fog clears, we finally see that it is a small ape. Kong lowers his defense and extends a hand to the youngster. Suko slowly approaches the gentle giant and bites his finger.
When the humans see Suko in the trailer, they refer to him as "mini-Kong." But who is Suko in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire? Is he Kong's son?

Is Suko Kong's Baby? Speculations Explored
As of writing, we don't know much about Suko. Some fans have tried to determine who Suko is based on the meaning of his name.
In Japanese, the name Suko means "essential child." It is also a female name in the Japanese culture. But in the movie, Suko's gender has not yet been revealed.
If ever Suko is a female member of Kong's species, she would be the second female Kong to appear in the film franchise.
Previously, there was a female Kong who became King Kong's mate in the 1986 film titled King Kong Lives. She was called Lady Kong.
Based on Kong's interaction with Suko in the trailer, he may be his son. Another clue that points to this is the fact that the film's early working title was Son of Kong.
This leads us to speculate that Kong could reach the end of his life in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. After all, Kong appears grayish in the film's trailer. Suko could take the place of his or her father.

What Kind of Creature Is Suko?
We don't know right now whether Suko comes from Kong's species or his new enemy, Skar King.
This is because Suko seems to resemble the latter, given his orange fur and longer orangutan-like arms. King Kong, on the other hand, is a prehistoric ape.
We'll know more about Suko and his backstory when Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire comes out on March 29 in US theaters.
