VA Jouji Nakata Joins Shangri-la Frontier as the Professor in Episode 25
Fans can't stop laughing at the Professor, the newest character in Shangri-La Frontier, who made everyone gag with his magical girl avatar and elderly man voice, provided by experienced voice actor Jouji Nakata.
The contrast between the magical girl's appearance and his old man's voice surprised everyone, but fans assert it was a wise choice to cast Jouji Nakata for his deep voice.
Jouji Nakata is an accomplished voice actor, narrator, and actor.
His anime credits include Kirei Kotomine in Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, Bandou in Elfen Lied, and Toshizo Hijikata in Golden Kamuy.

So, Who Is the Professor in Shangri-La Frontier?
The Professor appears in Eighthold, puzzled by Sunraku's strange outfit.
He was aware that one of the three players engaged in defeating Wethermon the Tombguard is known to wear the ritual medjed keffiyeh, which Sunraku does so that piqued his interest.
To Sunraku's amazement, the Professor is seeking a certain player with traits similar to his own. After all, Sunraku believes he is only a curious, random magical girl player.
The Professor identifies himself as the head of the game-lore clan, The Library.
He may have a magical girl avatar, but he has a wife who belongs to the same guild as him. Psyger-100 even claims that his wife's in-game name is Massive Dynamite.
The Professor, as the library's leader, is busy learning about the world and Shangri-La's lore. He also feels they are well-known in the SLF since many players, including Sunraku, check them up online.
According to Sunraku's research, members of The Library obtain knowledge through connections with a large number of players and clans, which could imply that the Professor may provide him with useful information.
As the first season of Shangri-La Frontier concludes, the professor asks Sunraku to discover the truth about the world.
He sends Sunraku a friend request, which the latter subsequently accepts, meaning he guarantees to share what he knows and, together, solve the most difficult riddles of SLF.
