Winter 24 is a big season with lots of exciting new shows like Solo Leveling, as well as continuing hits like Frieren and The Apothecary Diaries.

Most of these titles also have ongoing English dub versions, though only a couple have a same-day English dub option. Among the big shows of the season, Delicious in Dungeon is one of the few with a simuldub release.

Now, another anime has gotten an English dub announcement, and that is none other than MAPPA’s new anime, Bucchigiri. It’s not a simuldub though, as this release is three episodes behind.

Still, this is great news for many fans who were waiting for an English version. After all, the show has been getting attention online thanks to its colorful characters and action.

The dub’s announcement was made on the 27th, the same day as the first episode’s English dub release.

Along with the announcement came the reveal of the main cast, which includes Alex Mai as the show’s protagonist, Arajin Tomoshibi.

Even those who haven’t seen the series yet may be familiar with Arajin already, especially as he’s been getting attention from many seasonal anime viewers on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter).

Alex Mai being his voice is a good fit as Mai has lots of experience voicing anime characters. Mai is perhaps best known for voicing Akane Aoi in After School Hanako-kun and Ryuji Amagai in Shoot! Goal to the Future.

He isn’t the only notable VA in the cast though, as he is joined by four experienced voice actors.
