Kengan Ashura features some of the strongest anime characters from different martial arts disciplines. These fighters, regardless of whether they are athletes, assassins, or criminals, are competing in a life-or-death tournament called the Kengan Annihilation Tournament. At this point in the anime, who dies and who survives in Kengan Ashura?

Who Dies and Who Survives in Kengan Ashura?
In a life-or-death tournament like the Kengan Annihilation Tournament, the participating fighters are expected to die when they lose against their opponents.
But as much as possible, the referees of the Kengan matches know when to stop the match between the fighters to avoid unnecessary deaths.
The Kengan fighters have no mercy against their opponents. The moment they entered the arena, they were one step closer to the doors of hell.
This is their way of life, and surprisingly, they love the pain, injuries, and wounds they receive from their opponents. It almost seemed like fighting was the only reason they existed in the anime.
The Kengan fighters may have different fighting styles, but they share the common goal of winning the tournament.
It’s not because they really wanted to elect a new chairman for the Kengan Association, but because they want to be hailed as the strongest fighter in the world.
So, among the fighters, the Kengan Association members, and the other martial arts practitioners who have been introduced in the Kengan Ashura anime, who dies and who survives?
Who Dies Among the Kengan Fighters?
Almost all of the participating fighters in the Kengan Annihilation Tournament managed to survive! This is a surprise, considering how violent, bloody, and deadly the matches were in the tournament.
Perhaps the tournament’s low mortality rate is thanks to the efforts of the referee and Dr. Hanafusa Hajime himself, who tended to the severely wounded.
Or perhaps due to the fighters themselves, who don’t want to put an end to their opponent’s life?
Nonetheless, Meguro Masaki, also known as the Crying Man, is the only casualty of the Kengan Annihilation Tournament.
He was the representative of Umiichi Securities and was also a mercenary hired by Hayami Katsumasa, the CEO of Toyo Electric Power Corporation. He died fighting Muteba Gizenga of Iwami Heavy Industries.
Other fighters like Mokichi Robinson (Sentory), Nikaido Ren (Byakuya News), Hanafusa Hajime (Teito University), and even Tokita Ohma (Yamashita Corporation) barely survived the tournament.
Mokichi Robinson was put into a comatose state after fighting the Kure family’s Raian. He was then taken care of by Dr. Hanafusa and recovered in the process.
Nikaido Ren also suffered at the hands of Setsuna Kiryu. But thanks to Mei, Nikaido Ren was revived, and he then became part of the group that was supposed to blow the tournament dome into pieces.
Meanwhile, Hanafusa Hajime, the dissector and the doctor/surgeon of the tournament, also survived thanks to his quick response against Bando Yohei.
He lost the fight, but Bando Yohei believed that it was Hanafusa’s victory after finding out that the doctor successfully injected a deadly virus inside him.
Tokita Ohma, the main protagonist of Kengan Ashura, barely survived after fighting Raian in the second stage of the tournament.
His injuries from the fight, in addition to the side effects of Advance, put him in the ICU, leading Kazuo Yamashita to almost pull him out of the tournament.
Who Dies Among the Kengan Association Members?
All of the Kengan Association members are still alive in Kengan Ashura, but it will be a different story in Kengan Omega as Hayami Katsumasa of Toyota Electric and Erioh Kure of the Kure Family are now both dead.
Don’t worry, everyone’s favorite CEO duo, Kazuo Yamashita and Ohya Ken, are still alive, including the beautiful female CEOs of the Kengan Association.
Who Dies Among the Other Martial Arts Practitioners?
Tokita Niko, Ohma’s mentor, died early in the series. He was killed by Taira Genzan, Kiryu Setsuna’s mentor.
But before Niko died, he finished off the other Niko (Six) after the latter planted the Possessing Spirit (Advance) into Ohma’s body.
