Deaths are always expected in DC’s Titans. Throughout the series, the show hasn’t been scared of killing off characters, including fan favorites such as Hank Hall/Hawk and Donna Troy (before she was resurrected).

So, who made it until the end of the series finale, and who didn’t survive? Who dies in DC’s Titans Season 4? This article lists all the deaths in DC’s Titans Season 4.

Well, technically, Superboy died before the Titans resurrected him, that’s why he’s on the list. Throughout the final season, Conner embraces his Lex Luthor side and he starts calling himself “Conner Luthor”.

Conner becomes the CEO of LexCorp after Lex died. He seemingly teams up with Sebastian Sanger/Brother Blood, but it was later revealed that he was just doing what he thought was necessary.

He later apologizes to the Titans for his actions and asks if he could help them defeat Brother Blood. However, while Conner tries to use an orb against Sebastian, the latter kills him.

When Rachel finds out about this, the Titans retrieve his body and attempt to revive him using Red Kryptonite. Dick explains that S.T.A.R. Labs designed Red Kryptonite combined with nitroglycerin and epinephrine to stabilize Kal-El/Superman if the worst happened.

Dick then injects Superboy with the Red Kryptonite. Later on, while the Titans struggle to defeat Brother Blood, Superboy appears and beats Sebastian with his heat vision and super punch.

After defeating Brother Blood, the Titans have dinner and Superboy steps out during the meal. Dick follows him and Conner shares that he’s no longer the same guy who Superman/Clark Kent wanted to meet.

Dick says that he should ask himself if he did all the things he did for himself or for other people. While Conner says that it doesn’t matter, Dick suggests that the “why” part is important because real bad guys never ask that question.

Conner decides to go back to Metropolis, spend time with Superman, and get flying lessons from him. The last scene of the series finale shows Conner happily flying in the sky.

Trigon

Trigon was already the villain in Titans Season 1, and while Raven/Rachel Roth defeats him in Titans Season 2, Trigon remains a threat in Titans Season 4. Throughout the final season, the Titans try to stop Mother Mayhem and Brother Blood from bringing back the demon Trigon.

But Sebastian succeeds in bringing his father back. However, Trigon’s life on Earth (again) was cut short because Sebastian kills him by ripping his heart out. So Trigon officially dies in DC's Titans Season 4.

All Sebastian Sanger really wanted to do was change the world. But his game proposals were always rejected and laughed upon.

In Titans Season 4 Part 1, we actually see Sebastian not wanting to become Brother Blood. Before he enters into transformation, he even apologizes to Rachel.

But towards the end of the series, Sebastian gets consumed by darkness. We find out in the series finale that Brother Blood’s goal was to destroy Earth and Tamaran through the Icarus Gate.

Sebastian shares that Trigon’s deepest fear was the people of Earth and Tamaran joining forces because if that would happen, they would be unbeatable. Thus, Sebastian refuses to let anyone have power over him.

“Never again,” he says. But the Titans defeat him (thanks to Conner), and while Dick suggests that they toss Brother Blood to the Icarus Gate and blast him back to the other side of the universe, Starfire thinks otherwise.

Starfire says that he might just come back stronger. Brother Blood wakes up and yells that this is his story and the Titans don’t get to be the heroes.

Starfire ultimately chooses to sacrifice herself and brings Brother Blood up to the sky and unleashes an energy blast that kills Brother Blood for good.

May Bennett/Mother Mayhem

May Bennett was Sebastian’s biological mother and the leader of the Church of Blood. Throughout the series, we see that she doesn’t really care for Sebastian because all the wanted was for the latter to raise Trigon.

She consistently poisons Sebastian’s thoughts and manipulates him using his memories so that he would willingly go through the ritual and become Brother Blood.

When Sebastian became Brother Blood, he kills Mother Mayhem twice. First, he tries to kill her by using his power to burn her to death. But later on, Mother Mayhem resurrects herself in the city morgue.

Mother Mayhem’s final death comes before the series finale, as Brother Blood stabs her using Trigon’s horn.

Jinx was a magic user and thief. She was one of Dick’s old contacts, and the latter asks for her help in dealing with the Organization.

Sadly, while the Titans try to stop Sebastian’s transformation, Mother Mayhem stabs Jinx to death. In Episode 9, when Gar drinks a mysterious potion given by Dominic Mndawe/Freedom Beast, he gets several visions, one of which includes him seeing Jinx.

Gar asks if he’s dead, and Jinx responds that he isn’t, but she is. She then talks about death and how life is a “collective.”

Jinx tells Gar that life is “not a single pool of water that evaporates”, but a “river that flows forever, our spirits mixing, healthy or not, as a whole. As one.” Before Gar goes back to reality, Jinx’s last words to him were “Life flows backwards and forwards.”

Is This Really the End for DC’s Titans?

Sadly, Titans Season 5 isn’t happening. The show’s cancellation was announced along with Doom Patrol. These two series also join the list of other canceled DC shows such as Batwoman and DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

Thus, while there may be questions about the characters’ deaths in DC's Titans Season 4, it’s safe to say that their deaths are final (except for Superboy’s). However, we can always hope for the Titans to appear in other DC projects considering that the Beasy Boy episode establishes that the series is connected to other DC projects, including the DCEU.

Thus, the series is connected to what happens with the DCEU after The Flash movie (the DCU). But even if we may no longer see this set of Titans again, at least we know they all got peace in the end, and that they will always be “Titans forever.”
