Does Alina Live or Die in Shadow and Bone Season 2?
The Sun Summoner survives Season 2 although one of the final scenes might have had fans worried about her.
Being the protagonist, a person with unique magical gifts, a revered as a saint, Alina is someone fans might worry about, as this is the type of character that sometimes makes the ultimate sacrifice.
In the books, Alina eventually fakes her death and retires to live a quiet life with Mal, but the show separates the two for now, suggesting that she has more work to do in Ravka.
Does Mal Live or Die in Shadow and Bone Season 2?
Whether Mal would get to live or not was a major plot point throughout but, with Alina's help he survives Season 2.
When it is revealed that Mal is an amplifier, he is ready to sacrifice himself for Alina's sake.
Alina refuses to accept this but has no option other than to absorb his amplifier powers in the final battle.
Thankfully, she manages to bring Mal back, though whether this will have consequences due to the use of Merzost remains to be seen.
Does the Darkling Die in Shadow and Bone Season 2?
Season 2 of Shadow and Bone ends with the Darkling's death.
Alina and the other characters cremate him to ensure that he will never come back. But could he?
The Darkling has already been presumed dead once, but he returned.
Fans of Leigh Bardugo's Grishaverse books know that there's a major twist in the latest duology, as the Darkling comes back once more. But what happens then could be the subject of another series.
Does Nikolai Live or Die in Shadow and Bone Season 2?
Nikolai survives in Season 2 and is officially crowned king. However, the Darkling's taint has fans worried about him.
In the Season finale, we see that Nikolai's wounds haven't fully healed and that through them a nichevo'ya shows up.
This is concerning about the king's future and, in fact, he gets his own book duology to deal with that.
Does David Die in Shadow and Bone Season 2?
David got some time to shine in Season 2 but died before the Darkling's defeat.
This was one of the most shocking deaths because the books didn't lead us to believe that it would happen so soon.
In the final Grishaverse book (so far) titled The Rule of Wolves, David does die, but only after already having served Nikolai as an inventor for a few years.
His plans to propose to Genya made David's death all the more devastating but if you want to see them get at least a few years happily married, you should read the books.
Does Baghra Live or Die in Shadow and Bone Season 2?
Baghra dies at the hand of her son, who tries to harness her powers and create more Merzost.
While sad, this death is no surprise for book fans who knew it was coming.
Who Else Dies in Shadow and Bone Season 2?
Other character deaths in the second season of Shadow and Bone include prince Vasily Lantsov, Dominik, and the Darkling's Grisha.
They are thankfully survived by Zoya, Genya, and of course the fan-favorite Crows whom we hope to see in Shadow and Bone Season 3.
