A well-known team from the comics, also making their debut in Black Adam is the Justice Society of America which is a team of superheroes during the Golden Age of Comic Books.

Over the years, various DC characters became members of the Justice Society of America but the founding members are Doctor Fate, Hawkman, Atom, the Flash, Green Lantern, Hourman, and Spectre.

Only Doctor Fate and Hawkman will be on Black Adam, while Atom's grandchild, Atom Smasher, makes his debut on the movie. Cyclone joins the team as well.

As seen in various trailers, the Justice Society of America are allies of Black Adam as they face the villain, Sabbac. They'd rather have Black Adam fighting with them than against them.

Played by veteran actor Pierce Brosnan, Kent Nelson, a.k.a. Doctor Fate is one of the founding members of the Justice Society of America, the one they regard to as an elder of the team.

Kent Nelson is the son of an archaeologist who unearthed the tomb of Nabu where the Helmet of Fate was retrieved. The Helmet of Fate gives Kent Nelson the abilities to become Doctor Fate.

The Helmet of Fate grants its wielder magical sorcery abilities coupled with the art of casting spells which grants Doctor Fate flight, necromancy, teleportation, invisibility, interdimensional travel, magical prowess, among others.

Taking flight and lording the skies with his impeccable wings is Hawkman played by Aldis Hodge. Carter Hall a.k.a. Hawkman is an also an archaeologist like Nelson.

Hall is also a museum curator who became the reincarnation of Khufu, an old Egyptian prince who sent Black Adam into prison. He has the ability of flight with his Nth metal wings and gets various incarnations throughout the years. Hawkman can also breathe underwater and communicate with animals.
