From P.A. Works studio comes the vibrant comedy anime of the spring 2022 season! Ya Boy Kongming is a music-centered anime with a dash of history thrown in for good measure.

In case you missed it, Paripi Koumei is also a reverse isekai, with the main protagonist reincarnating in the real world, as opposed to the typical scenario in which the protagonist is isekai'd in a fantasy world.

Paripi Koumei, also known as Ya Boy Kongming, is based on Yotsuba Yuuto's historical fantasy comedy manga, with illustrations by Ogawa Ryou. The anime's premise follows Kongming, the general of the three kingdoms, who, after dying, is reincarnated in modern-day Japan after pleading to the Gods for a life free of war.

When Kongming arrives, he meets the aspiring professional singer Eiko Tsukimi, whom he refers to as the "songstress from hell." In an unexpected turn of events, Kongming volunteers to become Eiko's manager, assisting her in gaining followers, setting up her performances, and achieving her own goals, all while working as a part-time bartender in a club owned by Kobayashi.
