Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Is One of the Most Controversial Isekai Series of All Time!

Isekai shows have always been a staple on everyone’s screens as we go along the four anime seasons of the year, regardless if it's winter, spring, summer, or fall!

In fact, the anime industry never failed to give us the wackiest and even weirdest isekai shows with long titles!

But who can forget about Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, which was first released in the Winter of 2021?

Yes, it’s an Isekai show, but it’s unlike any other, not because it has a very unique setting but because it is one of the most controversial!

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation revolves around a bullied and abused 34-year-old NEET (not in education, employment, or training) who gets isekai’d in a fantasy world after he was run over by a truck and died in the process.

Sounds cliché, right? It’s the most basic plot line to start an isekai show, thanks to the appearance of Truck-kun.

In the fantasy world, our 34-year-old NEET was reincarnated into a not-so-innocent baby named Rudeus Greyrat. This is where things become controversial, which the majority of the anime industry finds uncomfortable to watch.

Who wouldn’t be? At such a young age, Rudeus already has an adult mind. It should’ve been fine, except Rudeus always had these perverted urges toward some of the characters in the series, including his young and beautiful mother!

In addition, Rudeus even justified cheating and adultery at some point in the series!

It was painful to watch, but we can’t deny that Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation also has redeeming qualities.

It has pretty well-written character development, not only for Rudeus but also for the other side characters.

Obviously, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is intended for mature audiences.

It is not for those who are looking for wholesome isekai shows, so be warned!
