Sam Kim is helping himself cope with grief a month after his father was fatally shot.
Sam Kim's family went through the darkest time of their lives after the confirmation of his father's death emerged. The patriarch, Hansoo Kim, died on Jan. 13 after he was shot to death by a robber in Seattle, Washington.
His agency, Antenna, confirmed the tragic event on Jan. 26.
A month after the tragic event, Sam Kim gave his fans an update about him.

Sam Kim Shares Update to Fans After His Father's Death
On Tuesday, Sam Kim uploaded a new photo of him on Instagram as he worked inside a studio. He posted it after receiving birthday messages on his special day on Feb. 19 from his fans and followers.
The K-pop Star 3 contestant asked everyone who they had been in the past days before giving his current status to them.
He wrote, "I've been going through a bit of a hard time. Right now I'm doing well, I'm eating well (it's a problem because I'm eating too well), and I'm working hard. I'll be greeting you soon with good news."
Sam Kim notably debuted with his mini-album, I Am Sam, in 2016, years after joining K-pop Star in 2013. Under Antenna Music, he continuously released new albums and OSTs.

The singer has not released a Korean single or album since 2021's These Walls, Look at Me, and Aqua Man. But he recorded three soundtracks for Our Beloved Summer (Summer Rain), Cleaning Up (For You), and Cheer Up (Confession).
He, however, dropped his English-language single Smile in 2022.
What Happened to Sam Kim's Father?
Sam Kim's management agency confirmed on Jan. 26 that Sam Kim's father was killed in a robbery in Seattle.
Korea JoongAng Daily reported that the incident happened when a robber broke into the restaurant he was managing and running in Seattle, Washington. The family held a funeral on Jan. 24, during which Sam Kim sang Mama Don't Worry.
As of press time, no arrests have been made. The Seattle Times said that the investigations are still ongoing.
