After his disappearance in The Walking Dead, it was revealed that Rick and Michonne had a son together. Avid fans of the series already knew Michonne's secret. But now that the spinoff series is airing, they are asking: where is Rick Jr. in The Ones Who Live?

Does Rick Know He Has a Son With Michonne?
Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln) disappeared in the original series, The Walking Dead in season 9. When he disappeared, he did not get any news on what happened to his family and community.
This also meant that he did not know his new wife, Michonne (played by Danai Gurira), was pregnant with his son. Nine months after he was kidnapped by the Civic Republic Military (CRM), Michonne gave birth to a boy, whom she named Rick Jr., or RJ.
Unlike Rick's other child, Judith Grimes, RJ does not have any memory of his father. He only knows him from the stories shared told to him by his sister and mother. He also knows his father as "the brave man" since he sacrificed himself for the community.
In The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live episode 4, Michonne accidentally reveals that they have a son together. But Rick doesn't respond to the news too well, after all, he tragically lost his son, Carl (played by Chandler Riggs) in season 8.
When he calms down, he reveals that Carl's death has since haunted him. Rick then asks Michonne more about RJ. Michonne reveals that RJ looks like Rick and has inherited his stubbornness.
The two then make their way to Alexandria to reunite with their family.

Where is Rick Jr. in The Ones Who Live?
In the events of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, we can't help but wonder where Rick Jr. is in the spinoff.
Since RJ is roughly around eight years old in the events of The Ones Who Live, he was left under the care of his sister, Judith, and uncle Daryl Dixon (played by Norman Reedus).
But in the finale episode of The Walking Dead, Daryl leaves Judith and RJ in the care of Ezekiel (played by Khary Payton) and Carol (played by Melissa McBride) so he can go to France to learn more about the origin of the zombie outbreak.
Hopefully, Rick gets to meet his son in The Ones Who Live soon.
