When Is Lockwood & Co Coming Out on Netflix?
Principal photography for the show started in July 2021. This also marks the date when filming started, which ended until March 2022.
Ever since then, the show has been in post-production.
Thankfully, we don't have to wait too long for Lockwood & Co to come out on Netflix since a release date has been announced. The show will be coming out on Friday, January 27, 2023. There will be a total of eight episodes with a runtime of around 60 minutes per episode.
How Many Lockwood Books Are There?
Lockwood & Co is based on the young adult novel written by Jonathan Stroud. There are a total of five books under the series, which follow this order upon release:
- The Screaming Staircase
- The Whispering Skull
- The Hollow Boy
- The Creeping Shadow
- The Empty Grave
In 2013, a short, interactive story was released on The Guardian's website. Although the story was written by Stroud, he asked for readers to give their input on its location, type of ghost encountered, and the title, which later became: The Dagger in the Desk.
What Is Lockwood & Co Story About?
Lockwood & Co follows a group of teenage ghosthunters in London as they hunt for spirits. The three teenagers, Anthony Lockwood, George Karim, and Lucy Carlysle, formed an agency together despite their young ages.
The first novel in the series, The Screaming Staircase, is said to be the first to be adapted by Netflix. But there is no word yet on whether the show will cover multiple books in the first season.
