The seventh episode of Shōgun shows the Lord of Kanto in deep pain as he faces the loss of two family members. With the events that transpired, Toranaga has prepared his will in line with his death. What is Toranaga's will in Shōgun episode 7?

Why Did Toranaga Prepare a Will?
In Shōgun episode 7, it is revealed that Lord Toranaga prepared a will in case he would die. This is because he knew that going to Osaka without his brother's army would lead to a bloodbath.
Even though the leader knew who the real enemy was, he did not want to face the risk of dividing the country. After his brother's betrayal, pushing through with Crimson Sky would only be a suicide mission.
Because of this, Toranaga announced that he would go back to Osaka and surrender to Ishido and the other Regents. Prepared to face his death, Toranaga wrote a will.

What is in Toranaga's Will in Shōgun?
This makes us wonder what sort is in Toranaga's will in Shōgun. Unfortunately, episode 7 does not reveal much about the will except his wishes for his grandchildren to inherit his land when they reach a certain age.
Of course, this doesn't include the final moments of episode 7 where Toranaga's son, Yoshii Nagakado, accidentally dies after attacking his uncle.
With Nagakado's death, the tables have turned for Toranaga once again since nobody knows how this will affect him and his plans.

Does Toranaga Die in Episode 7?
Since the episode's end does not show Toranaga leaving the fishing village, it is still unclear whether he makes it back to Osaka.
With the episode's ending, we wonder whether Toranaga decides to leave for Osaka with his brother or fight against him. After all, he no longer has anything to live for with the death of his son.
Based on the history of Tokugawa Iewasu, the man on whom Toranaga's character was based from, this isn't the end of his journey. Toranaga still has plenty of battles to fight and death at the hands of Ishido isn't his fate.
