How are the Iwi Tribe Connected to Godzilla x Kong?
The Iwi tribe has long been involved in the Godzilla x Kong franchise, rooting back to their first appearance in 2017's Kong: Skull Island.
In Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, only one member of the tribe, Jia (played by Kaylee Hottle), joins the newest installation in the MonsterVerse universe, and for a greater reason, too.
The Iwi tribe's significance in the franchise lies in hailing their Titan god known as Kong.
Since the beginning of time, they have been known as Skull Islanders who protect themselves from the other Kaiju, all the while keeping Kong safe and defending the island, as well.
Now, without further ado, here's what the Iwi tribe's prophecy about the Godzilla says in The New Empire.

What Was the Iwi Prophecy in The New Empire?
According to what Jia understood from her link with the Iwi tribe, she must bring Mothra back to life, as she is the only Kaiju who could stop the Skar King for good.
This also means that Jia's return signals the dormant Mothra who must now reawaken to restore nature's balance.
Keep in mind that Mothra, one of the most iconic monsters in the franchise, sacrificed herself once in King of the Monster's finale to save Godzilla, who's to say she wouldn't do the same thing once again?
In this case, Jia helps revive Mothra, who soon comes to the rescue to stop the battle between Godzilla and Kong. In the final stage, Godzilla and Kong chase down Skar King to defeat him for good.
