Mission: Yozakura Family Episode 1 Introduces Mutsumi Yozakura

The first episode of Mission: Yozakura Family introduces both Asano Taiyo and Mutsumi Yozakura.

They are childhood friends who look out for one another, but Mutsumi has recently been growing anxious about Asano following the accident that scarred him for life.

As a result, Mutsumi has to constantly reassure Asano that she will be by his side and will not leave, so he does not have to worry.

She acts like a mother to Asano, concerned about him being alone, not eating properly, and so on.

Many of Mutsumi's classmates are jealous that she is indulging Asano, but she doesn't mind because all she wants is for Asano to improve his communication skills and connect with more people.

As the plot progresses, Mutsumi confesses that her family is made up of spies who deal in guns and intelligence, a secret she has kept from Asano for the past decade.

Funny, her big sister Shion claims that they are all freelance spies who have received 4.8 stars on review sites.

What Happened to Mutsumi’s Hair in Mission: Yozakura Family?

According to Futaba, Mutsumi sustained a near-fatal injury many years ago as a result of Kyoichiro Yozakura, now known as Hirukawa.

Her hair has a white-silver stripe going up the left side, a result of the stress caused by the incident with Kyoichiro.

Since then, Kyoichiro's guilt has driven him to obsess over Mutsumi to an unnatural extent, from changing his name and profession to watch Mutsumi to interfering with everything about her daily life and personal relationships.

But in reality, the original head of the family, Tsubomi Yozakura, is complicit in what happened to Mutsumi's hair.

Her roots are implanted within Mutsumi's body, resulting in a white-silver streak running up in her hair.

As it turns out, an organization called Tanpopo wants to use Mutsumi to restore Tsubomi’s body, and upon knowing who was responsible for this, Kyoichiro is enraged, leading to the incident.
