Speaking of his health, many can't help but wonder what happened to Mark Curry in 2007. This was a challenging time for the comedian as he endured a life-changing accident at his home.

While Curry was doing his laundry, a natural gas explosion took place in his home in Oakland. It turns out that an aerosol can was left behind a water heater, which caused the explosion.

As a result, more than 20% of Curry's body experienced severe burns. This included his side, back, and arm. Not only that, he had to undergo a three-day medically-induced coma to get treated.

Curry revealed on The Montel Williams Show that when he woke up from the coma, he considered suicide. He eventually decided against it because of the mental support and help he got from his friends and other comedians. Some of the people he thanked include Bill Cosby and Sinbad.

Today, Curry is healthy and has recovered from the accident. Although he continues to talk about the experience, he uses it to motivate and uplift his audience.
