Wesley Snipes' 'Teeth Still Sharp' For Marvel's Blade Remake

Is the world still waiting for a Blade remake? Wesley Snipes certainly is, and he says his fangs are "still sharp" for the possible reboot.

It's no secret that Snipes has been campaigning for more Blade movies. The New Jack City actor has previously teased on two new films focusing on the Marvel comic book character. Although there haven't been any recent updates on these plans, Snipes continues to express his interest in reprising the role. Take a look at his recent tweet below.

There is little doubt that Snipes still has the moves to portray the daywalker. Unfortunately, there hasn't been any news from Marvel Studios if they are considering plans for a Blade reboot. Let's just keep our fingers crossed and hope for an announcement in the future.

There are also speculations that a Blade remake would call for a new actor to take on the role of Eric Brooks. After all, Snipes is already in his 50s and the character isn't supposed to age like regular humans. Although we're hoping that Snipes will still be considered for the reboot, there's also a possibility that a younger actor could be cast instead.

But what are the chances that Blade will be re-introduced in Jared Leto's Morbius the Living Vampire? Some fans believe it's a great way to bring back the daywalker. After all, the two characters have fought in the Marvel comic books. It would be an interesting way to bring back Blade and prepare fans for his comeback. However, there have been no updates yet on the Morbius storyline involving the vampire slayer so it's best to take this with a grain of salt.

Morbius the Living Vampire is expected to begin production in February 2019.
