We'll be Getting Our First Big Look at Birds of Prey This Week

The last DC movie coming out this year is Joker, but early 2020 we get a return from Harley Quinn with Cathy Yan's Birds of Prey. WB hasn't really given us a good look at the film officially, but news has it that we'll be getting a big reveal from Total Film this week.

This was teased with the cover of Total Film with Joker as the cover:

Black Canary on Twitter had also confirmed that we're finally going to get some Birds of Prey coverage with the issue this coming Aug. 23. While I'm expecting some shots of the main Birds, I would also love to get good look at Ewan McGregor's Roman Sionis a.k.a. The Black Mask. If we're really lucky, maybe we can even get a teaser drop online to accompany all this new info.

The DCEU had a major stumble with Justice League in 2017 and has been trying to find its footing ever since. The good news is, Aquaman and Shazam! were hits, and though it isn't kid-friendly, Joker is also looking to be something special to the fans. Let's just hope they keep going with these more experimental and director-driven projects, because it was studio interference that was said to have messed with the earlier DCEU films.

After splitting with the Joker, Harley Quinn joins superheroes Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to save a young girl from an evil crime lord, Black Mask in Gotham City.

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is set to hit theaters this coming Feb. 7, 2020.
