One of the quirkiest characters from the original Addams Family, and now, on Netflix's Wednesday, is Thing, and in a new clip released by the streaming platform, the disembodied hand courses the streets of New York City as he gets unleashed, pranking everyone who sees him.

Today, advertising comes in various forms, like guerilla marketing where unconventional methods are used to drive publicity and what better way to do it for Netflix's Wednesday than to go through the streets of New York City unleashing Thing, and pranking the people, right?

In a hilarious new clip released by Netflix, it shows how they unleashed thing in New York City to prank the people on the streets, even animals like dogs or rats, to pump up the hype for the newest series on the streaming platform, Wednesday.

It shows Thing, the disembodied hand, going through various places in New York City like parks, and even on the train, and of course, not everyone shared the same reaction. Some were spooked, some found it hilarious, and some are just confused like that cute pug which got curious, and the rat which kissed Thing.

In Wednesday, the disembodied hand, Thing T. Thing, or who they plainly call as Thing, is played by Victor Dorobantu who had to crawl, literally, to bring Thing into life. The one that went through the streets of New York City seemed to be an animatronic hand.

Wednesday follows the titular spooky and kooky Addams family member who entered Nevermore academy where she deals with a new environment and at the same time, she tries to establish new friendships while trying to sole a mysterious series of murders happening in town.

Wednesday is directed by Tim Burton with Jenna Ortega as the titular Addams family member, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, Jamie McShane as Sheriff Donovan Galpin, Gwendoline Christie as Larissa Weems, and Christina Ricci as Ms. Thornbill.

Wednesday is now streaming on Netflix.
