Watch the Crazy First Trailer for Hulu’s Animaniacs Reboot

WB's Animaniacs has been gone since 1998, but with the nature of reboots and follow-ups, a reboot had been announced by Steven Spielberg for Hulu. Just in, we have our trailer featuring Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, plus the returning Pinky and the Brain.

Here's the official description:

They're back! The Warner brothers, Yakko and Wakko, and the Warner sister Dot, have a great time wreaking havoc and mayhem in the lives of everyone they meet. After returning to their beloved home, the Warner Bros. water tower, the siblings waste no time in causing chaos and comic confusion as they run loose through the studio, turning the world into their personal playground. Joining Yakko, Wakko and Dot, fan-favorite characters Pinky and the Brain also return to continue their quest for world domination.

With the original show already being topical in nature when it comes to their references, you can see a lot of jabs at pop-culture with the latest Animaniacs trailer from anime to a Cyclops that looks a lot like Donald Trump. You even get Pinky and the Brain trying to cope with the new technology and social media.

While I can already imagine that there are a lot of fans of the original who will hate the ‘woke' references in the trailer, I think it's always been in the nature of Animaniacs to be a tad educational, no matter how insane it got. Hopefully this reboot will manage to capture the spirit of the original.

Catch Animaniacs on Hulu when it comes out Nov. 20.
