Nickelodeon is once again rebooting the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and now they've dropped the new intro for the upcoming show, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

With Rise of the TMNT, Nick promises to try and shake-up the formula. For one, Raphael is now the leader of the group, and Leo has been bumped down to be the "cool rebel". You'll also notice that each of the Turtles gets a different weapon compared to their signature ones from several iterations.
At best, I think this show is meant to be a prequel, and it will end with Leo becoming the leader, and every wielding the familiar weapons. I can already imagine a lot of angry fanboys at first glance of the series, but the beauty of the TMNT franchise is that it can always be revamped for the newer generation of kids.
I have no doubt that several kids today will love this TMNT formula.
No specific release date has been announced for Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but the show is expected to debut in Nickelodeon this year.
