Warner Brothers Reportedly Looking For A “Kristen Stewart Prototype” For Barbara Gordon In Its Batgirl Movie

There might not be much news about Warner Brother's upcoming Batgirl movie for the DC Extended Universe but rumor has it that the studio is actually looking to hire the Cesar Award-winning actress Kristen Stewart as Barbara Gordon – or maybe at least some like her.

Posting on Twitter, DanielRPK, a DC fan who's been rolling out a number of rumors related to the DC franchise, just recently revealed that Warner Brothers is looking for a "Kristen Stewart prototype" for its Batgirl standalone. Though it seems like the DC leaker strongly hints that the studio might be hoping to actually cast the Twilight star in the movie, it seems like Warner Brothers might also be fine with an actress just like her.

Check out the tweet down here:

Of course, while DanielRPK has gotten right before, not all of the rumors that he's posted have turned out to be true, so fans should take the new report with a grain of salt.

This news might come as a surprise to those following the development of the Batgirl standalone. When the studio announced that it was working on a film for Barbara Gordon and had Joss Whedon as its director, the intention was to hire a lesser-known star for the role. However, things could have changed after Whedon was taken off the project. Right now we'll just have to wait and see whether this new rumor has any grain of truth in it.
