As The CW undergoes significant restructuring, the network has given Walker Season 4 the green light. The show is a reboot of the 1990s western drama Walker, Texas Ranger, starring Jared Padalecki, who plays the role of Cordell Walker.
Despite the network's recent decision to reduce its scripted programming output, Walker has managed to secure another season.
According to The Wrap, the decision to renew the show comes just days before the Season 3 finale airs, which will be on May 11. However, the spinoff, Walker: Independence, has been canceled after just one season.

Jared Padalecki Expresses Excitement For Walker Season 4
In a statement released by Jared Padalecki, he expressed his excitement about continuing the story of Walker. He also praised the show's partnership with CBS Studios and The CW and promised that Walker Season 4 would be "bigger and better than ever."
Meanwhile, The CW's president of entertainment, Brad Schwartz, lauded the success of Walker and expressed his confidence in the show's future.
It was previously reported that The CW would reduce its scripted programming output to five shows and then later to three as Nexstar, the network's new parent company, aims to refocus its efforts.
Nexstar has noted that younger audiences have gravitated towards streaming services, and as a result, it aims to develop programming for older audiences to attract a new audience.
As of now, only Walker Season 4 and All American have been renewed for The CW's 2023-2024 season.
