Venom: Let There Be Carnage will not be risking the release of the film along with the surge of COVID cases due to the Delta variant and they recently announced that the movie will not be coming out next month, but instead would be moved for another three weeks. Recently, another rumor spread that it will not be in theaters until 2022 and Sony had to debunk the speculations about another delay.
After Sony has just dropped the bomb of releasing the official teaser trailer of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the other film to come out from the studio this year Venom: Let There Be Carnage got some rumors going around it that it that it would be delayed yet again for more months and would be on January 2022.
In a report from Variety, an insider from Sony Pictures debunked the swirling rumors about another delay for Venom: Let There Be Carnage and the film will be pushing through with the current release date of October 15, 2021. The much-awaited sequel of Tom Hardy is still sticking to that schedule and would not be moving until Sony says so.
This is not the first time Venom: Let There Be Carnage got delayed. It was originally scheduled for release in October last year but the presence of a global pandemic gave it a huge push on the release date being June 25, 2021. Serkis took the time of the delay to continue improving the visual effects of the movie. However, it was delayed again to September 17, then to September 24.
Hopefully, the film will not face any more delays as many fans are already excited for the return of Tom Hardy as Venom with Woody Harrelson's fill-fledged villain, Carnage. The pandemic has cost the industry a lot. Still, everyone's safety is the top priority. Surely, Sony will make the right calls for everyone.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage is still scheduled for its theatrical release date on October 15, 2021.
