Venom 3 Working Title Hints at New Villain Eddie Brock Will Face

Venom 3 is now in the works, and its working title hints at the introduction of the new villain Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) will face.

A new comic book character from the Spider-Man universe may join Venom 3 if its alleged title has anything to go by. The third film will reportedly be called Orwell, and it may allude to the character of Orwell Taylor in Marvel Comics.

Venom 3's Alleged Working Title

The Cosmic Circus revealed that the upcoming third film's working title is Orwell.

Though it seems to be a project name, Yahoo! noted that the name Orwell is part of the Marvel Comics world.

It's a character who has a connection with Venom, named Orwell Taylor.

Who is Orwell?

Orwell is a former U.S. army general who has developed a grudge against Venom after the latter kills one of his sons.

He creates a group known as the Jury, whose main mission is to "bring justice" to Venom. This group wears suits of armor based on the Iron Man costume in the comics.

But despite their force, they still fail to stop Venom.

The Cosmic Circus added that Orwell was also introduced in the comic book event, Venom: Lethal Protector.

This six-part series saw Eddie move from New York to San Francisco, where Orwell followed him for revenge.

However, it remains to be seen if Venom 3 will feature this storyline, as its working title may be unrelated to the movie.

Venom 3 Production

Venom 3 has reportedly been in pre-production since February. And this time, it's allegedly getting ready to start filming.

Of course, Hardy is set to reprise his role as Eddie one more time.

Thankfully, amid the threat of the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike, it won't affect the upcoming third movie.

Production List reported that the film is about to start its principal photography as early as June 5, while the filming will take place in London and Los Angeles.

Anyhow, Sony Pictures has yet to address the claims.
