CS:GO fans who love the game's iconic butterfly knife has finally arrived in VALORANT!
Today, Riot Games has revealed the new military-inspired Recon Collection, which lets players wield "fully knitted-out guns with all the bells and whistles in attachments". The bundle comes with the highly-anticipated butterfly knife melee as well as new cosmetics for the Ghost, Spectre, Guardian, and Phantom.
The Recon bundle is considered Premium Edition skin tier so it will cost around 7,100 VP for the whole collection. However, players can buy cosmetics individually, with each gun costing 1,775 VP, and the Balisong butterfly knife for a more premium price. There are alos custom upgrades that players can unlock using Radianite Points, such as a custom model and ADS reticle, three camouflage variants (red, blue, and green), and randomized side and bottom attachments. The butterfly knife also has three variants, along with custom animations and audio.
"Way early on in VALORANT's development we experimented around with having attachments similar to what you might see in a more mil-sim or grounded shooter," VALORANT art lead Sean Marino said. "While the idea of attachments for gameplay purposes didn't make its way through to the final game, there has always been a select few on the team who really loved the look of grounded military weapons that were kitted out with various attachments. Recon is our attempt to capture that fantasy of being in a more traditional modern shooter, having a gun that feels more representative of something you might see in modern combat."

Riot still used attachments as inspiration for Recon's aesthetic even though they didn't make it to VALORANT's final design. Players who enjoyed militaristic first-person shooters like Rainbow Six, CS:GO, and PUBG should love this new weapon skin bundle.
The Recon Collection will be available in VALORANT starting today.
