Upgraded Nintendo Switch Model Reportedly Coming Next Year

The Nintendo Switch grows more popular every day, especially now since the pandemic has forced many of us to stay at home. While not as strong as the PS4 or Xbox One, being able to play console-quality games on the couch or the bathroom via handheld mode has been a godsend to many. Many are content with the first model, though we've since seen the Switch Lite and Switch V2 since then.

While the Switch V2 is seemingly the best option right now, a report from Bloomberg says that we could be seeing another improved Nintendo Switch by 2021. Apparently, this is going to be way more powerful than all of the current versions, with the reports claiming that it could support 4K, which is huge. Nintendo hasn't confirmed anything yet but if true, this could be a must-have Switch model.

Admittedly, the Switch V2 and Switch Lite are decent in their own right since they have good battery life in handheld mode. However, they still don't compare to games on the PS4 or Xbox One so having something that powerful in the palm of your hand is going to be nuts. There's a possibility that it will drain more battery than the standard Switch but let's wait and see.

In the meantime, fans are still waiting for Nintendo to do something big for Mario's 35th Anniversary. Right now, it's mostly been Lego sets and board games so here's hoping they re-release those rumored titles soon. Imagine how much better they would look on a 4K Nintendo Switch.
