Uniqlo is no stranger to anime collabs, and now, the Japanese clothing giant has another exciting one. This time, Uniqlo teamed up with the renowned manga artist group CLAMP for a new graphic tee collection.

While CLAMP is currently working on the Clear Card manga, this new collection won’t just feature designs based on Cardcaptor Sakura.

Instead, the collection will feature graphic tees with designs taken from four of CLAMP’s works, which should be familiar to fans of classic shoujo manga and anime.

Most manga titles are made by either one person or a duo (one being the writer and another the illustrator).

One of the few exceptions is CLAMP, the manga artist group that consists of Mokona, Tsubaki Nekoi, and Satsuki Igarashi.

Aside from being known for the unique setup they have, the group is also renowned for a wide range of works.

Arguably their most popular is Cardcaptor Sakura, the iconic magical girl series from the late 90s.

As expected, Cardcaptor Sakura is a major part of the new Uniqlo collection, though it is not the only series that’s highlighted in the designs.

CLAMP fans will be happy to know that the group’s other titles will also be represented, including the popular dark fantasy series xxxHolic.

What’s interesting about the Uniqlo collection is that it was shared unexpectedly.

After all, many of Uniqlo’s anime and manga collaborations are usually part of a promotion.

For instance, the One Piece Red collection last year was released in line with the movie’s theatrical run.

The same can also be said about the recent Makoto Shinkai collection.

Uniqlo World of CLAMP Designs, Release Date

While most of Uniqlo’s anime collabs come in men’s or unisex sizes, this collection will only be available in women’s sizes.

There are six tees in total. Two of the t-shirts feature designs based on Cardcaptor Sakura.

Then, there’s one tee each for Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, Magical Knight Rayearth, and xxxHolic.

Finally, there’s a black tee that celebrates CLAMP’s works, featuring designs from Rayearth and Cardcaptor Sakura.

Each t-shirt is priced at JPY 1,500, and the collection will be released in Japanese Uniqlo stores in mid-July.

Right now, there’s no word yet on a release outside Japan. Though Uniqlo will likely bring the collection to the US soon.

If it does happen, expect each t-shirt to be priced at around USD 24.90.
