After months of absolutely no major news, Cyberpunk 2077 will be having two major updates slated to be released in early 2022. Patch 1.5 will be released around the same time for users who are playing the game on different platforms.
The news of the major game update was confirmed in an interview with the Polish newspaper Rzeczpospolita. It is also said that the developer CD Projekt Red President Adam Kiciński is planning some long-time plans for the ill-fated RPG game.
For this long-anticipated next-gen release, the update promises major unique improvements from its first release most especially for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The update was originally slated to be released this year but was pushed back to early next year instead as they hope that the major updates would keep the continued support and improve sales of the game moving forward.
With the confirmation of the updates slated for early next year, Kiciński made it clear that there will be no updates this year as they are working intensively on Patch 1.5. With the early release of the game filled with bugs, it seems the devs will make sure that these major patch updates would be worth waiting for.
The action role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10, 2020. It was released for Microsoft Windows, Stadia, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The PS5 and Xbox Series X and S release for the game is slated for the first quarter of 2022. The game is developed and published by CD Project Red and directed by Adam Badowski.
