It has been two years since the game was released, and finally, Type-Moon fans won’t have to wait much longer. The Tsukihime visual novel remake is finally confirmed to be released in English in 2024.
Previously, the game was confirmed to get an international release, though no release window was revealed at the time.
Now, Type-Moon confirmed that the game will be released in the second half of 2024 – great news for fans as this game’s release has been a long time coming.
International Fans Will Finally Get to Play the Original Type-Moon Game
Type-Moon is a Japanese game development company that’s best known for the Fate series. Most anime fans know the Fate series for its numerous anime projects, not to mention its rather convoluted watch order.
Before all the Fate anime projects though, there was the original Fate/stay night visual novel. This was Type-Moon’s breakout hit in the early 2000s. Even before this game though, Type-Moon had a previous notable project.
The studio’s first notable project is Tsukihime, the visual novel that was released back in 2000. It may not be part of the larger Fate series, but it shares enough elements that Fate fans might also enjoy it.
Tsukihime finally got some love a couple of years ago as Type-Moon released a remake titled –A piece of blue glass moon-. This remake was originally released only in Japan back in 2021.
Both the original game and the remake have only been released in Japan officially. At last, that will change as the Tsukihime remake will be released internationally in English in Summer 2024.

Tsukihime Visual Novel Remake Finally Gets 2024 English Release Date
Instead of being a remake of the entire game, –A piece of blue glass moon- only features the Near-Side part.
As with most visual novels, Tsukihime has five routes for players to experience. These are divided into the two Near-Side and the three Far-Side routes.
The Near-Side routes feature fan favorites Arcueid and Ciel as the heroines.
The Tsukihime remake visual novel is set to be released on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Summer 2024. There’s no word yet on a specific release date.
At the very least, fans of the series will be happy to know that the future Far-Side routes remake will also be released in English outside of Japan. Fingers crossed that it would get a simultaneous worldwide launch.
