The swans have avoided Truman Capote like the plague for the past three years. Still, considering that Babe knows she only has six months to live, she reminisces how the situation could have been handled differently.

As much as Truman's actions would affect their reputation with society, she wishes she could go back in time and laugh it off with their friend. However, there's a more important matter at hand.

Babe reveals to the swans that she's planning a party — her own memorial party, to be exact; a notion she is ready to accept her fate without fighting back. The least she could do is die in style.

Once C.Z. visits Truman to break the news of Babe's death, Truman says he still has yet to finish his eulogy for her. At this, C.Z. breaks another news: he's not invited to the funeral.

Despite the heartbreak of not having the privilege to see his dearest friend for the last time, C.Z. insists that he has to read his eulogy in front of her instead.

Truman's eulogy emulates the title of the episode, "Beautiful Babe."

Considering that it was Truman that Babe most often shared her secrets and milestones, it sounds about right when he was assigned the most important piece to end Babe's journey.

In the eulogy, he narrates how the world would still see her in the form of her fashion, family, and reflections. In this case, Truman admits there have been times when he can see Babe on his own.

Although he has not ended his piece, C.Z. thanks him and leaves his place.

The episode ends with Truman Capote and Babe Paley seemingly reconciling in the afterlife, where the two friends spend their time on the beach.

Feud: Capote vs the Swans has one more episode to air on FX, which releases on March 13.
