Kevin Feige has recently updated that Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man 4 is still in development, and with the rumor of Tom Holland returning to reprise his role as Peter Parker for his 4th film, a new report is stating that his Spider-Man will play a vital role in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
According to reputable scooper @MyTimeToShine on Twitter, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is set for a greater destiny upon his MCU return, and that is to lead in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty!
While this has yet to be confirmed by Marvel Studios or Feige, Spider-Man leading in an Avengers film is a huge deal to look forward to here. Not only is he a close prodigy to Tony Stark after his passing in Avengers: Endgame, but to lead a war against Kang the Conqueror could set up his future in the MCU.

Spider-Man: No Way Home introduced the multiverse coming to fruition in the MCU. Unfortunately, because of Peter Parker tampering with Doctor Strange’s work, it led the archenemies of his Spider-Man variants into his reality. Based on this, it would be logical to have Parker “end” what he started in his trilogy. However, it is important to take this report with a grain of salt, as Marvel Studios could easily change the plot for the 2025 Avengers film.
Last year, the rumored leading characters in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty were revealed to be Shang-Chi, the new Captain America (Sam Wilson), and the new Black Panther, which ideally makes more sense given that Kang the Conqueror is too strong of an opponent to be handled by one hero.
Given that Spider-Man 4 is most likely unveiling another deep truth within the MCU and more about Parker reclaiming his identity as the web-slinging hero, his vital role in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty could lead to greater consequences, as his Aunt May’s last words echoed: "With great power comes great responsibility."
Meanwhile, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is currently slated for release on May 2, 2025. Spider-Man 4 is reportedly releasing before Avengers: Secret Wars which is set to premiere on May 1, 2026.
