Amidst Marvel Studios setting up the new phase for the MCU, we have yet to see the return of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man on the big screens.
Though it’s been confirmed that the three MCU Spider-Men are making their respective appearances in Sony’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the last time we saw Holland in his own franchise was in No Way Home.
Spider-Man: No Way Home premiered in 2021 with a promising future of the MCU becoming inhabited with the exploration of the multiverse.
As the multiverse continues to grow and affect the changes of every Marvel Phase 5 film and series, there have been little to no new updates on Spider-Man 4.
Recently, though, a new report claims that Marvel Studios and Sony are already eyeing its (soon-to-be) official release date for Spider-Man 4.
According to reputable scooper DanielRPK, both companies are reportedly eyeing an “August 28, 2025 release date for Spider-Man 4.” You can also check out the tweet below:
It is worth noting that Spider-Man 4 is one of the many delayed Marvel films being produced, so establishing a nearly accurate release window will do wonders for MCU fans long anticipating the fourth film.

Back in February this year, another scooper, MyTimeToShineHello, reported that Spider-Man 4 will come out before Avengers: Secret Wars.
With Secret Wars slated to release on May 1, 2026, this settles Spider-Man 4 for a 2025 release date, which lines up perfectly with what RPK revealed.
However, it remains to be seen whether this will be the official and final release date for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4, seeing as there’s an ongoing WGA strike, which potentially gives way for another setback.
Not to mention, the Marvel shake-up continues as they struggle to decide which films and series should be released first, considering their quality has declined over time.
