Tom Holland Teases New Spider-Man is Coming After No Way Home

There is little doubt that people are still hoping for more Spider-Man movies starring Tom Holland. However, the Avengers: Endgame star continues dropping hints that he will be stepping away from the star-making role. Holland has once again teased on the possibility that a new web-slinger will be introduced after the events in Spider-Man: No Way Home. MILD SPOILERS AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter Parker and Dr. Strange manage to send all the displaced people to their respective universes. However, Peter also asked the Sorceror Supreme to make everyone forget about his existence. That meant that nobody knew Peter or that he is Spider-Man.

It's an interesting conclusion for the trilogy and although it looked like Peter still wants to continue being Spider-Man, Tom Holland has once again teased that he will be saying goodbye to the character soon.

"I've loved every minute of it. I've been so grateful to Marvel and Sony for giving us the opportunity and keeping us on and allowing our characters to progress. It's been amazing," Holland told People. "And that's why for me, I don't want to say goodbye to Spider-Man – but I feel like we might be ready to say goodbye to Spider-Man."

It's understandable why Holland wants to keep playing the character. However, he's also open to the possibility of handing the torch to a new actor. "I don't want to be responsible for holding back the next young person that comes in who deserves it just as much so," Holland said.

So does this mean we'll be meeting a new Spider-Man after what happened in No Way Home? For now, it looks like Tom Holland will continue to play the character. Perhaps the new Spider-Man will be introduced after a few more years.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is now screening in theaters.
