With every MCU film comes a video from Kirk Deveyck (hilariously) demanding a new trailer. They released a video for Avengers: Endgame last December, and now they want to get a first look at Spider-Man: Far from Home. Interestingly enough, they got Tom Holland's attention.
Holland replied:
Like the video from Deveyck said, the first trailer for Spider-Man: Far from Home was supposed to release last December, but for some reason, Sony decided to pull it out. Everyone speculates that their reason for doing so was so that they could keep the focus on the release of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. There was also the possibility that the trailer would just be lost to the hype for Avengers: Endgame.
The good news is, rumors have been coming out that the trailer will be releasing this Tuesday. We don't have any official comment from Marvel or Sony yet, but the source has been known to be pretty reliable. Besides, with nothing big expected for the next few months, it's the perfect time to start promoting Far from Home with no other film to compete with.
We don't know what to expect from the coming trailer, but it's speculated that we'll definitely be getting a look at Jake Gyllenhaal's villain Mysterio. We're also said to be getting a glimpse of these so-called "Elementals" which will be causing havoc in the film, prompting SHIELD to hire Spider-Man.
Catch Spider-Man: Far from Home in theaters July 5.
