Takemichi and Mikey finally begin their confrontation. Mikey asks Takemichi why he came back. Takemichi tells Mikey about how his future self asked for his help. While Takemichi talks about this, Taiju looks at them, confused.
After that, Sanzu rushes after Taiju and attacks him. Taiju falls to the ground, and Sanzu calls for Takemichi. Sanzu says as a time leaper, Takemichi doesn't understand the importance of Mikey's destiny. Sanzu also says Mikey's fate has been set in stone ever since he was young.
Sanzu argues Mikey cannot go in a different direction except for the path of carnage. Hanma shows up and says Takemichi is the last man standing in Toman. However, Chifuyu rushes to them, screaming that Takemichi is not alone.
Hanma hits Chifuyu, and Mitsuya shows concern for him. Chifuyu slowly gets back up and tells Takemichi he will not let him fight alone. He shares his regrets regarding Draken's death because he blamed it on Takemichi.
However, Chifuyu eventually realized Takemichi was fighting his battles all alone. He apologizes to Takemichi and exclaims to everyone that he will devote his life to his captain, Takemichi. Chifuyu stands back to back with Takemichi, saying he's got his back.
