In an unexpected move, Yen Press announced that the Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun manga is getting an English simulpub release soon.
While the manga is currently available on select platforms in English, the chapters are not released on the same day as the Japanese version.
This means fans are not up to date on the latest events if they read via official platforms. Soon though, fans will be able to catch up to the series officially.
While there are no details yet on when the latest chapters will be released, it’s confirmed that Chapters 92-95 will come out today.
Manga Simulpub Releases
Looking back a few years, manga readers outside Japan had little choice but to read via unofficial fan translations to get updates on their favorite series.
After all, Japanese publishers at the time didn’t release official English versions of their titles digitally.
Now though, fans have plenty of platforms to read the latest hit manga titles online.
For instance, there’s Manga Plus and the Shonen Jump app for Shueisha’s latest manga.
With services such as these, manga readers are treated to simulpub releases, meaning the English-translated versions of many series are released at the same time as the Japanese version.
Shueisha may have been one of the first to launch simulpub release platforms, but other publishers have also followed suit. For instance, Square Enix launched Manga Up! a few months ago.
There are also rumors that Kodansha is going to launch its own manga platform soon, given that several titles from its magazines were removed from Crunchyroll and other manga reading services.

Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Simulpub Announcement
Fans of Hanako-kun might already be reading the series on Manga Up!, though the series is way behind on the platform.
In Japan, the series is already on its 99th chapter, but it is only on its 85th chapter on Manga Up!
With the simulpub release though, fans will be able to read the latest chapter soon.
As per Yen Press’ announcement, Chapters 92-95 will be released on services such as Bookwalker today, March 7.
Aside from these chapters though, there’s no word yet on when the last set of chapters will be released and on which platform.
However, it’s possible that they will also come out on Manga Up! given that the series is already there.
What we can say for certain is that a new Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun anime project is in the works, though it’s not clear if this will be a second season.
