It was only recently that HBO Max announced Titans and Doom Patrol were not moving forward with any more seasons. Upon hearing the news, DC Studios co-head James Gunn immediately debunked the rumor that it was he who pulled the plug on the comic-drama. With the franchise recently unveiling its slate of projects for the new era of the DCU, Titans producer Bryan Edward Hill expressed his feelings on Gunn and Peter Safran’s reboot plans for DC.
The producer revealed that people have been messaging him; therefore, he’s taking it to Twitter to set the record straight about his sentiments on DC’s early plans surrounding their films, TV, and video games.
“Folks have DM'd me about @JamesGunn's vision since I was a producer of TITANS (ending with this season). In short? I trust it. Never met James, but I know he's got TRUE LOVE for this universe. You can see it in him when he talks about it. Let's support him. He's a real one.” wrote Hill.

With the Titans soon to end their time in DCU, Hill noted that conclusion is part of the equation despite him enjoying his time doing the show. After all, he teased that he has surprises incoming for the people who are fans of his works.
“I LOVED my time on TITANS. I grew a lot. Learned even more. In this business, you move from one thing to the next, and being able to start and finish something...that's rare. Gotta keep the love flowing to our fellow creators and I have some exciting things to announce soon.” he said.
Prior to the cancellation of his show, the Titans producer had initially communicated his fear about the future of Titans given that the DCU is going on a full reboot after Gunn and Peter Safran. However, given that the show is expected to end on a cliffhanger, no choice is left for its continuation but to support whatever path the DCU is heading from here on.

Gunn recently discussed the studios’ plans for DC’s extended universe, with an aim to tell "one story" across film, television, gaming, and animation, while also intending to release movies and TV shows outside of the main DCU under the label "Elseworlds." Films and shows that have already been confirmed to be part of the "Elseworlds" universe include The Batman Part II, Todd Phillips' The Joker, and Teen Titans Go!, a cartoon that is animated. The Peacemaker creator also labeled Superman: Legacy "the true beginning of the DCU" and said it will debut in theaters on July 11, 2025.
Part two of Titans season 4 is expected to drop sometime in April on HBO Max.
