Just a few days after the horrific incident that shocked the world, there's already a Titanic submarine documentary.
The documentary, entitled Titanic Sub: Lost at Sea 2023 details what happened to the Titan submersible that was presumed to have imploded.

What Is Titanic Sub: Lost at Sea 2023 Documentary Story About?
Titanic Sub: Lost at Sea 2023 is a documentary that talks about the Titan submersible that first lost contact with the surface ship on June 18, 2023.
The Titan was the only submersible owned and manufactured by OceanGate that was capable of reaching the depth of the Titanic's wreckage.
Despite its size and cramped room, the Titan managed to entice customers to pay $250,000 per person for a trip with "a scientific objective."
The descent down to the shipwreck should have been a total of two hours. But one and a half hours into the descent, the surface ship lost contact with the submersible.
Ever since then, rescue teams have started to plan out their missions as those trapped in the vessel only had a total of 96 hours worth of oxygen for the five passengers.
Online, people remained hopeful that the vessel would be found and the passengers would still be alive. But as days passed, the hopes of rescuing them seemed slim.
And just after the oxygen was expected to have depleted, rescuers found debris of the vessel in the area.
This suggested that the Titan submersible suffered a "catastrophic implosion" with all its passengers assumed dead.
Titanic Sub: Lost at Sea 2023 Documentary Release Date
As the events continued to unfold, United Kingdom broadcaster Channel 5 beat the clock to release the first documentary about the Titan submersible.
The documentary was released in London on June 22, 2023 at 7 pm. It was presented by Dan Walker and produced by ITN.
In its interview with Variety, ITN's managing director of content, Ian Rumsey, shared:
“This program will chart everything from the exploration itself to the rise of extreme tourism, to the rescue attempts, but above all, it will tell a very human story that has captured the nation which is about 5 people, all with families, who are trapped at the bottom of the ocean. Our expertise and heritage in fast-turnaround documentaries and reputation for responsible filmmaking mean we always treat such stories with great sensitivity.”
The documentary also spoke to people who were "close to those onboard" the vessel, as well as experts about the science behind it.
Is Titanic Sub: Lost at Sea 2023 Available to Stream?
The documentary's air date has already passed but you can still watch it by subscribing to Channel 5's Insider membership. As it stands, this is the only option to watch the documentary right now. The documentary has a total runtime of 75 minutes.
This means that it is not yet available to stream on Netflix or any other streaming platform. But there will likely be more options to watch Titanic Sub: Lost at Sea 2023 documentary in the future.
