Those Black Panther 2 Rumors About Donald Glover and Michael B. Jordan are FALSE

Rumors had come out yesterday that Ryan Coogler was looking to cast Donald Glover and Michael B. Jordan (again) for the Black Panther sequel, but as it turns out, those rumors are entirely false.

This was confirmed by The Wrap's Umberto Gonzalez:

Though Jordan's Killmonger is coming out to be one of the most celebrated MCU villains to date, it wouldn't really make sense for him to come back for the sequel. If anything, it would make sense for Donald Glover's Spider-Man: Homecoming character Aaron Davis to become the Prowler, but even then he doesn't seem to be that kind of criminal—not in this universe at least.

Though T'Challa ends up dead by the end of Avengers: Infinity War, a lot of people do not doubt the existence of a Black Panther follow-up somewhere in Phase 4. The movie went on to be ridiculously successful when it came out earlier this year, and Marvel isn't dumb enough to not bank on that. If we're lucky, we might get one or two more never-before-seen superheroes make their debut along with a handful of sequels to already established characters.

We still have no official news on the Black Panther sequel, but if you want to see the King of Wakanda on the big screen, you can always check out Avengers: Infinity War again which is still playing in theaters.
