Brie Larson might be playing the strongest Avenger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but that doesn't make Captain Marvel everyone's favorite Marvel hero just yet. There are a lot of great picks among the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy, and while some might disagree, it seems like a majority of the fans have decided to name Chris Hemsworth's Thor as their favorite.
Lad Bible just recently put up a poll asking which of Avengers: Endgame's two key players were their favorite – was it Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man, or Hemsworth's Asgardian God of Thunder? Though Iron Man might have technically started the MCU, 51 percent of the votes went to Thor, while Iron Man bagged only 48 percent.
It's a close fight really, and the reactions to the poll's results were pretty mixed. While some were happy that Thor won the top spot, others were quick to side with Iron Man instead.
Thor's popularity has largely been influenced by his recent narrative arc in the MCU. Not only was the Asgardian God of Thunder was a hoot to watch in Thor: Ragnarok, but the character also won the sympathy of many after losing his father and his home in the film. The most human moments for Thor came in Avengers: Endgame were we see the Avenger at the lowest point in his life after losing his brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) to Thanos (Josh Brolin).
Of course, fans wanted to vote for other heroes as well. Others commented Captain America (Chris Evans) and Spider-Man (Tom Holland) as their obvious favorites.
