Thor: Ragnarok Star Cate Blanchett Suffered a 'Minor Chainsaw Injury' Which Isn't As Cool As It Sounds

Cate Blanchett has always been a pretty cool actress, as her various movie roles have shown. Marvel fans absolutely loved her as Hela in the wonderful Thor: Ragnarok and we're looking forward to seeing her play as Lilith in Eli Roth's live-action adaptation of Borderlands. It looks like she's really suited for these kinds of roles since the actress recently spoke about having a "minor chainsaw accident," which sounds metal as hell but Blanchett states that the incident is not exciting at all.

Speaking with A Podcast of One's Own, Blanchett acknowledges the fact that a chainsaw accident sounds like the most exciting thing in the world but states that what happened to her wasn't cool at all. That's probably why she won't elaborate on anything else, which is a shame since you don't hear a lot about chainsaw incidents.

I had a bit of a chainsaw accident yesterday which sounds very, very exciting but it wasn't. Apart from the little nick to my head, we're fine.

On the bright side, Cate Blanchett is still alive and well, which is obviously the most important thing to come from this incident. I wish we could say the same for her character Hela in Thor: Ragnarok, though that doesn't appear to be the case, especially since Christian Bale could be a new villain in Thor: Love and Thunder.

Thor: Ragnarok is now streaming on Disney+ so if you haven't seen it yet, check it out there. It's quite an awesome movie, even if you don't like the first two Thor films.
