An announcement was just made and confirmed by Marvel, Thor star Chris Hemsworth, and Thor: Love and Thunder Director Taika Waititi that the movie is finally calling its filming a wrap. Recently, Waititi has been involved in a controversy about a photo that went viral, that didn't stop him from celebrating finishing the filming of Thor: Love and Thunder.
Chris Hemsworth, the God of Thunder, and Director Taika Waititi shared the same photo on Instagram and both of them are in celebration as the filming of the latest film in the franchise, Thor: Love and Thunder, has ended.
Despite being tangled in an issue about racy photos which spread online with him, co-star Thessa Thompson, and Rita Ora, Taika Waititi expressed his excitement for the upcoming film and posted on Instagram, "And that's a wrap on Thor: Love and Thunder. Sometimes two people come together to inspire the world and change the cinematic landscape forever. And then there's me and Chris Hemsworth who are too cool to care about anything except making movies that bring people absolute joy. Ok I don't look cool I know that. This film is the craziest thing I've ever done and I'm honored to bust my ass and have a nervous breakdown so you can all see it in May 2022."
Chris Hemsworth also made it official on Instagram, "That's a wrap on Thor Love and Thunder, it's also national don't flex day so I thought this super relaxed photo was appropriate. The film is gonna be batshit crazy off the wall funny and might also pull a heartstring or two. Lots of love, lots of thunder! Thank you to all the cast and crew who made this another incredible Marvel journey. Buckle in, get ready, and see ya in cinemas!! @taikawaititi @marvelstudios" His photo has been shared by Marvel Studios on their official Twitter page.
As the film ends filming, it enters into post-production and it will surely be a joy for Waititi to do some magic behind the scenes as they patch the film into another masterpiece.
The film is expected to feature the transformation of Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) as the new wielder of the Mjolnir as the Mighty Thor. In the same film, it would be the jump of former Batman star Christian Bale into the MCU as the villain Gorr the God Butcher. The characters returning are Thessa Thomspon as Valkyrie and the Queen of New Asgard as Thor passed her the baton in Endgame, members of The Guardians of the Galaxy, and Taika Waititi would be back as Korg, along with Miek.
Thor: Love and Thunder is scheduled for release on May 6, 2021, in theaters.
