The upcoming fourth sequel in the Thor film series Thor: Love and Thunder was scheduled to begin production this year. However, it also fell victim to the frustrating delays caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Now, the film's lead star Chris Hemsworth, along with director Taika Waititi who also happens to voice Korg have both been spotted together in Australia and it's leading a lot of fans to believe that filming is about to kickstart sooner rather than later.

Photos have been surfacing all over social media showing Hemsworth and Waititi having some fun playing cricket on Byron Bay, Australia. Now, it's all probably a reach at this point considering there hasn't been any confirmation regarding Thor 4's production start but who knows? They're most likely in the planning stages already which is great news for fans of the mighty Asgardian. Check out the photos here.

Unlike some of his MCU batchmates like Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johansson who have all been relieved of their duties as key members of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Chris Hemsworth isn't going away anytime soon which is fantastic news considering Thor Odinson, as a character has experienced somewhat of a resurgence via Thor: Ragnarok and quite frankly, the MCU still needs the services of the God of Thunder. There are still plenty of stories to be told and more exploits Thor and his crew must embark on in the coming Marvel Cinematic Universe so yeah, I wouldn't want him to leave the franchise just yet. Hemsworth staying in the franchise is a win for us all!

Thor: Love and Thunder is slated for release in 2022.
