This Neat Rick and Morty Easter Egg Explains Rick’s Passion for 'Pirates of the Pancreas'

The cool thing about Rick and Morty is that no matter how old episodes are, people are still finding new details about the series today. Just recently on Reddit, someone was able to link this throwaway joke from Season 3 all the way back to Season 1.

In the episode Anatomy Park, Rick was obsessed with this ride that he created called Pirates of the Pancreas, and has constantly been mentioning that it was his passion project. Fast forward to Season 3's The Rickchurian Mortydate, and it's revealed that Rick actually is afraid of pirates.

As the Reddit post suggests:

Rick pitched Pirates of the Pancreas because it was the only thing that would generally thrill him.

We don't know if that was the actual intention of the writers of the show, but it offers some pretty neat consistency with Rick's character.

For now, we've recently gotten an anime-inspired teaser for Rick and Morty. Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland have been approved 70 new episodes by Adult Swim, but for now, we still don't know when the next season is set to come out. It's also possible that these 70 episodes will be split into seasons as well.

No release date has been set for Rick and Morty 4.
