Theros Beyond Magic: The Gathering Key Art is Now Available as A Playmat

Ryan Pancoast's original Magic: The Gathering key art from the latest set Theros Beyond Death is now available for preorder at the Original Magic Art store. The fantastic illustration features Magic's iconic Planeswalker symbol in between a formation of swords of shields, and if you take a closer look, you'd notice the Aegis with the different races/monsters of the Greek mythology-inspired plane.

This officially licensed playmat has reached its stretch goal of 25 buyers, and you can preorder one now for $35. Pancoast gets $10 each for every playmat sold.

Pancoast noted that the nyx-shadow detail over reflective surfaces was tricky to make:
