Theros Beyond Death Reveals Kraxo, Titan of Death's Hunger & A Powerful Blue Saga

Wizards of the Coast has revealed another powerful titan from the forthcoming Magic: The Gathering set Theros Beyond Death, and this one is called "Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger", a two-to-cast 6/6 red/black legendary titan that makes each opponent discard a card when it enters the battlefield or attacks, and each opponent who didn't discard a nonland card this way loses 3 life. Check it out:

Just like the first Theros Beyond Death titan revealed earlier today, you have to sacrifice Kroxa unless it escaped, and to escape this card, you need four mana (two black and two red) and five other cards in the graveyard to exile. I love how you can play the new titans for its effects without escaping it first, then activate its escape later on to bring out a powerful body while you retrigger the same effects.

A blue mythic rare saga was already revealed today, and it's called "Kiora Bests the Sea God". Check it out:

Each chapter of this saga looks powerful enough to win games. For seven mana, this could be an effective win condition for control decks.

Theros Beyond Death, the 83rd Magic: The Gathering expansion, is set to release on January 24, 2020. Prerelease events will take place on January 17-19.
