Theros Beyond Death Previews Reveal Shepherd of Nightmares, A New Legendary Equipment & More


Today's official previews for the forthcoming Magic: The Gathering set Theros Beyond Death reveal more enchantment creatures, an anti-hexproof/anti-indestructible equipment, an anti-counterspell green creature, and "Thassa's Intervention".

Shepherd of Nightmares

English translation:

Flying
Whenever another non-token creature you control dies, you may exile it. If you do, create a 1/1 token that is a copy of that creature and it is a nightmare in addition to it's other types

Shepherd of Nightmares looks like a powerful four-to-cast black enchantment creature that fits well in decks that focus on sacrifice strategies.

And here's the legendary equipment that does a lot of things for just one mana.

Shadowspear

This equipment can be an effective sideboard against aggressive strategies when having Lifelink is relevant. It can also help make creatures with Hexproof and Indestructible vulnerable.

Thassa's Intervention
