The X-Men's Iceman is Getting his own Comic

Marvel has announced a new ongoing series starring Iceman via Twitter. The series will debut in Spring of 2017. You can see the tweet below:

The series will be part of the upcoming "RessurXion" event. Not much is known about the event so far, only that it will follow in the wake of X-Men vs Inhumans Death of X limited series. The logo's stylized "X" and "O" seem to contain references to both teams.

Iceman first appeared as a found member of the X-Men in 1963's X-Men #1. Since then, he has starred in a few miniseries, but this will be his first ongoing series. Due to time travel shenanigans, there's are currently two Iceman active in the Marvel Universe- an adult version and a teen version. It hasn't been confirmed which this title will focus on.

The adult Iceman is currently a member of the Extraordinary X-Men title while Teen Iceman is active in All New X-Men. Iceman made the news when the teen version of the character was revealed to be gay in All New X-Men #40. It was confirmed this was also true for the adult version of the character in Uncanny X-Men #600.

I'm interested to see what the new Iceman title will focus on. Are you hyped for the new title? Any thoughts on what the "RessurXion" event is supposed to be about?
